I first met John in 1983 after hearing so much about him via
various bass players, and I drove up to his workshop with the
intention of having a bass made to my specifications. I was
very impressed with the sound and look of the Jaydee
Supernaturals, but I wanted something different for me.
I needed a full length 24 fret bass up to top G, and a shape
tapered at the end of the body. Thus the birth of my trusty
GA1, which was the blueprint for the GA models in John’s
range of Supernatural basses.

everything is possible!!
He continues to be innovative and I
am today the proud owner of the
worlds first remote controlled light
system which has been fitted on the
revamped GA1 (very impressive on a
darkened stage).

Over the years I have asked John to make various basses for me, of
which I have only got 3 left. I remember one experiment which was a
stereo bass. The idea was to offer each string it’s own space in the
stereo field....and it worked! I used it on a few Shakatak recordings
but alas it’s use was limited to only studio work.

I am very glad to endorse these amazing basses and I look forward to
another 25 years association with him :)
